an entry to :iconjohnbecaro: 's Art Jam. What if scenario:
What if the Joker is the good guy and the batman is the crazed genetically altered psycho prowling the streets. that would make for some interesting elseworlds storyline, wouldnt it? :)
half-toned effect para oldschool.:)

I forgot: There's also The Red Hood from the episode "Deep Cover For Batman" from The Brave and The Bold animated series. It's Joker as a good guy- he's pretty badass- but less of a joker and much more serious. Yes, Owlman shows up as a villain.

Sadly, your good guy Joker here is way too serious. I mean, seriously. I'd imagine a good guy Joker as speaking Heath Ledger's perfect line but pure lightheartedness and delight rather than sociopathic menace.

Anyway, DC has done the role reversal a couple of times. The Earth-3 parallel world setting has Owlman (Batman's evil counterpart) fighting the Jokester. Baduy nga lang si Jokester.

Better: Try the 2010 animated video Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, based on the DC Animated Universe (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League). It depicts a very good concept for a heroic Joker (The Jester). Unfortunately, he doesn't get much screen time.

I would like more this idea: The joker is a normal guy, but one day batman fucks up the jokers world in a fatal way (loses love of his life, offspring or other close relative or he winds up in hospital or insane asylum for a long time)(batman doesn't know this), thus creating his nemesis, the joker.

That WOULD be interesting indeed. I'm surprised this idea has not been done in the comics. ...at least not yet.

I bet putting on all that facepaint must be a real chore.

Assuming, of course, the mysterious hero Joker even HAS an alter ego; it's quite possible that he doesn't.

Whoever he is, he'll always come running to defend Gotham City from the monstrous degenerate Bat-Man.

Watch 'Crisis on Two Earths', the alternate universe had the Jester, Joker's GOOD guy counterpart! He only had less than five minutes of screen time but it was FUCKING AMAZING! Why didn't they keep him? WHY?!?!

He also had a cat named Harley. But DAMMMMN! Jester was awesome! He was best friends with, get this, good guy!Alexander(Lex) Luthor! I was like holy shit! WATCH IT!

saw it, loved it. too bad he had to go early yeah?

i wonder tho, was he in the actual comic the animation was based or was he created just for the animation? if he was in the comic that means we have hope of getting glimpses of him whenever Ultraman and his cohorts are featured.

But, would Harley be a sidekick or an Alfred figure?

a good question!

personally, i think she'll be more like a batgirl. she wants to be "in" but she wasn't "invited", know what i mean? :)

but that's just me. i welcome your different versions of this "what if" scenario. makes for a very cool interesting discussion.

I also picture anti Killer Croc as a monster movie star. Just imagine, Waylon Jones is Gator Man!
