The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

ok, i think it's pretty obvious i'm a little into animation(of sorts) lately, i've been inspired just by looking at sarah's (mindlessmoron13) cute works. in fact, i got the idea of that CLICK HERE preview from her stuff. i hope you wont mind sarah!

thing is, i only know a bit of imageready. yeah , some stuff here aint competitive quality animation. perhaps if i could learn flash, i could've made it smoother. i just need to find a flash tutorial for idiots and for the pathetically, hopelessly slow.

i finally am starting to sculpt again, all the post wedding excitement is settling into a calm, and i finally have the time to sculpt again at night.
i hate rush works but i have to finish some stuff to show at the toycon on june 17-18.
hopefully i could finish 2 pieces.
i won't tell you what they are yet. it's gonna be a surprise.

i will post it as soon as i have it photographed.

i guess that's one of the main reasons why deviant art was formed, to uplift other artists' skills, confidence, be inspired, and to unite and form a collective to keep the art alive and advancing. i'm glad to be here where i get to meet wonderful talented artists like you all, and be touched, influenced by the styles that you have, to able to reformulate and improve on my own.
